Dr. Hubert Schulbin

Specialist for internal medicine, infectious diseases, addiction medicine, psychosomatic care

I studied medicine during the AIDS epidemic in order to become a doctor who treats HIV. I completed my training as an internal medicine specialist at the AVK hospital in Schöneberg, where I contributed to many international HIV research projects. I spent a year and a half in intensive care, which prepared me for working as an emergency doctor on call with the Berlin Fire Department. On April 1, 2012 we opened PraxisKreuzberg at Mehringplatz.

My favorite publications:

As part of my doctor’s thesis: Cytokine expression in the colonic mucosa of human immunodeficiency virus-infected individuals before and during 9 months of antiretroviral therapy.

My first publication in the Lancet: Human monkeypox virus infection in women and non-binary individuals during the 2022 outbreaks: a global case series

Dr. Miriam Speer

Specialist for internal medicine, infectious diseases, addiction medicine

My first formidable impressions of HIV medicine and infectious medicine came from Auguste-Viktoria-Klinikum in Berlin. I completed my specialty training at Ernst-von-Bergmann Clinic in Potsdam in various disciplines including intensive care. I returned specifically to HIV-medicine and infectious medicine during my tenure at the HIV specialty clinic Ärzteforum Seestrasse.
I was pleased to have the opportunity to become part of PraxisKreuzberg in 2015.

Stefanie Siebels

Specialist for general medicine, infectious diseases, emergency medicine and psychosomatic care

As a general practitioner it’s my pleasure to treat you for all general medicine, orthopedic, psychosomatic, and infectious medicine concerns.
Important stages in my career have been many years in anesthesiology and intensive care in Bremen, as well as emergency care at Urban Krankenhaus.
In addition, my experience at multiple primary care clinics specializing in infectious medicine, plus my training as an infectious medicine specialist at Sankt Joseph Krankenhaus Tempelhof, have enhanced my training.
My aim as a doctor is to holistically welcome every individual with both their minor and major concerns, and to accompany them, side by side, towards better health. In this sense, I am particularly interested in catering to the individual needs and concepts for living within the queer community.

You are welcome to discuss everything with me in German, English, or Spanish.

Infectious Medicine
HIV

Infectious medicine is our passion.

It’s important for us to always stay at the cutting edge of modern HIV therapy. We’re pleased that we can offer Hepatitis C patients an easy treatment that only lasts a few weeks. Patients with Hepatitis B can be spared from liver cirrhosis.

When dealing with multi-resistant tuberculosis we work closely with leading treatment centers to provide optimal therapy. We feel up to the challenge of treating new outbreaks of pathogens like Covid 19 or MPox.

Internal Medicine
Primary Care Physisicans

Our broad training in the various types of internal medicine, including experience in intensive care, allows us to treat our patients comprehensively.

Sexual health
PREP

Sex is good for well-being

If you have symptoms of gonorrhea/chlamydia, you can come without an appointment.

We were not able to treat Schubert, Nietzsche, Katharina II, Chopin, or Oscar Wilde for their syphilis, but we gladly treat our patients in time.

PrEP: HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis is a way for many people to experience carefree sex. We are happy to monitor the medication.

Addiction medicine
opioid maintenance treatment

With the medical care for addiction and opioid maintenance therapy we support patients who are dependent on substances to improve their quality of life.
